Too many nights I was going to bed frustrated.  A tired mommy has no patience.  This was not the way I wanted to end the day with my sweet, impressionable, inquisitive children.

So I wrote down some messages I want my boys to hear, then a poem or two, and a few life lessons. 

 

I turned out the lights, peered into my phone and read my thoughts.  The words settled and soothed all of us.

It was the calm at the end of the day.  

 

Now my children know how much they are loved, that it's important to eat right, and a smile is a great and wonderful way to greet a person or the day.
